FBI Moves to Rye

The FBI is moving to Rye… 600 Midland Avenue to be exact.

According to LoHud.com, "The agency says it is moving from its White Plains field office, at 222 Bloomingdale Road, to a larger space at 600 Midland Ave. in Rye, in order to meet increased personnel requirements… The new field office will still cover Westchester and Putnam counties and serve as a hub for the agencies' counter-terrorism, white collar and criminal investigation squads." The move is expected November or December.

The property 600 Midland Avenue, according to a promotional property listing sheet, is a two story 30,000 square foot office building situated on 7.83 acres of landscaped property including a pond. Around 18 months ago, the property sold for $6,000,000. The seller was represented by Chris O’Callaghan, Ed Tonnessen & Mark Jacobs of Jones Lang LaSalle. The undisclosed purchaser was epresented by Michael P. Rao & Frank M. Rao of New York Commercial Realty Group, LLC.
