Rye Football Car Wash Raises $2K
The Rye football car wash this past Sunday raised over $2,000, well past its goal of $1,500.
The Rye Football Association extends "a huge thank you to the community members who stopped by the car wash on Sunday August 21st at Rye High School. Many parents of alumni, players and cheerleaders stopped by to purchase their Rye v Harrison t-shirts and have an enthusiastic crew of players and cheerleaders wash their cars."
About 100 of the new Beat Harrison t-shirts were sold Sunday as well. The shirts will also be on sale the first three days of school and at "The Game" pep rally. If there are any shirts left, they will be sold in the merchandise tent on the field on game day.
