Rye City Schools Will Close THURSDAY, February 9th, 2017
All Rye City Schools will be closed on Thursday, February 9, 2017 due to the expected snowfall.

Separately, Rye PD issued the following warning:
This is the City of Rye Police with a weather advisory. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning from Thursday morning (4am) through Thursday afternoon. We can expect heavy snow with an accumulation of 6 to 10 inches. Wind gusts between 35-40 mph. Snow covered roads will make travel hazardous. Please remain indoors during this advisory. Be sure to have batteries and flashlights on hand in the event of a power failure. Charge cellphones. Do not run generators indoors. Please remove vehicles from public roadways to allow for snow removal.
