Donations Fund Planting of Seven Trees
Donations from the Branching out for Rye Campaign have funded the planting of seven trees on city of Rye property. A donation of $3,750 was made to the City of Rye General Fund, Shade Tree cost center back in April and just last week another donation of $2,055 was transferred to the city from the Rye Sustainability Committee.

To date, as a result of the donations, seven street trees have been planted:
- 3 River Birches at "Central Park" (grassy area on Boston Post Rd across from Jerry's Market;
- 1 Tulip Tree at Disbrow Park
- 2 Two Thornless Honey Locusts in the City Hall parking lot
- 1 Sugar Maple on the Village Green
