Saturday: Invasive Vine Removal and Garbage Cleanup Along Playland Parkway (Community Service Hours for Students)

The Rye Sustainability Committee has organized a community cleanup day on Playland Parkway at 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 24. Participants will be removing invasive species along the parkway between Midland and Milton:
Invasive Vine Removal and Garbage Cleanup Along Playland Parkway
Saturday, March 24th, 10am-1pm
Meet at Playland Parking Lot
- Gloves and protective eyewear will be provided
- Garbage bags, snacks and water will be provided (thanks to City of Rye PBA)
- Complimentary lunch will be ordered after cleanup for all participants courtesy of City of Rye PBA.
- A limited supply of pruning shears will be provided, but bring your favorite pair of lopping or pruning shears, pruning/bow saw if you have them
- Dress appropriately – long pants, long sleeves
- This event qualifies for city of Rye schools COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS

The vines provide a blanket of botanical coverage and shade from the noise and sites of Playland Parkway.
