Rye Youth Council Honors Female Journalists on Friday, April 27, 2018

At a time when the importance of a free and independent press has become ever more evident, the Rye Youth Council has chosen to highlight two outstanding female journalists at its fourth annual Spring Benefit Luncheon on Friday, April 27.
Andrea Canning, Dateline NBC correspondent, will be giving the keynote speech at the event. The accomplished journalist and Rye resident will share some of her experiences and personal insights in her talk, “From the Trenches: Journalism and Motherhood”.
Robin Jovanovich, publisher and former longtime editor of the Rye Record, is this year’s Honorary Event Chair and will be recognized for her many years of exceptional service to the community.
Shenorock Shore Club is he venue for the event, and organizers are hoping for a large turnout to support the two women as well as the important work of the Rye Youth Council on behalf of the children and families in Rye. You can purchase individual luncheon tickets starting at $130.
