This Blows: Winds in Rye Bring Power Outage
Crazy winds in Rye Tuesday night send trees flying, with wires down and homes without power.
This time Mayor Cohn told residents to call the city manager with issues but distributed his office phone, not his mobile number (which he did in March).
Here is the note:
Storm Response and Power Outages
Our City Department of Public Works, Police and Fire Departments once again performed well through last evening's storm, and we are grateful to them. Traffic was rerouted, downed wires were guarded and roads were cleared.
We estimate that more than a thousand Rye residents were left without power in the immediate aftermath of the intense winds. We understand that all should have power restored by 11 a.m. If you do not have power back by then, please contact Con Edison. Please also contact City Manager, Marcus Serrano, at 914 -967-7411, [email protected], for assistance.
Josh Cohn
