85 COVID-19 Positive in Rye; 461 Westchester Resident Deaths – Saturday, April 11, 2020
Based on their press briefing Thursday, we did not expect Westchester County to release updated COVID-19 numbers until Monday afternoon when Rye guy and county boss George Latimer is scheduled to give his next daily COVID-19 update. But for whatever reason the county released an update Saturday afternoon with fresh municipal numbers.
County is reporting 85 COVID-19 positive cases in Rye as of Saturday, April 11, 2020.
In addition, a check of the NY State Department of Health’s COVID-19 tracker for county and state level statistics for today reports 461 total deaths of Westchester County residents. The rundown on COVID-19 numbers:
- Fatalities of Westchester residents: 461
- Fatalities in Westchester: 505
- Numbers of persons tested: 56,827
- Tested positive: 18,729
- % Positive results: 33%
- Persons tested today: 1,679
- New positives today: 652
