In Memory, Peter Thomas Fox, former Rye Boat Basin Supervisor, Age 67
Peter Thomas Fox died peacefully in his sleep on April 12, 2020; he lived a good life. Born January 26, 1953 in Port Chester, NY to Joseph John Fox and Gloria Donahue Fox.
Peter was a longtime resident of Rye, NY. He graduated from Iona Prep and Iona College in New Rochelle. He worked at Rockwell Collins, installing navigation equipment in airplanes. He later went to work for the City of Rye as the Boat Basin Supervisor the Rye Marina, retiring in 2017, after 23 years of service. Peter enjoyed boating and being out on the water with his wife and friends. He also enjoyed gardening with his wife. Peter was a resident of The Osborn for the past several months, recovering from surgery. He is predeceased by his parents and his brother Michael (Mickey) Fox who died in 2011; and is survived by his loving wife Helen, and sister Mary Fox Fronk, Niece Alyssa Fronk, sister in law Kathleen Fox, and many relatives, neighbors and friends who will miss him.
The family wishes to thank Greenwich Hospital and The Osborn for their excellent care. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society. Once public gatherings are permitted there will be a celebration of his life.
Peter Fox was always very nice and helpful to me when I had a kayak at the Rye Marina.
I remember him as a wonderful person.

I was so sorry to hear this, Pete was a long time friend, a great guy, a hardworking, dedicated city resident who gave the city all he had for many years. I for one will never forget peter and the way in which he helped everyone he could. I will also not forget the deplorable way the city of Rye treated him after years of dedicated service. Rest in peace my friend. My condolences to Helen, Mary and the entire Fox family.
