(Updated) RESULTS: Cameron Topples Otis for Assembly, Bowman Upsets Engel in House 16th
(PHOTO: Meg Cameron has toppled Steve Otis to win the Democratic primary race for the NY State Assembly 91st District.)
UPDATED: Assemblyman Steve Otis said Wednesday morning “this is far from over” as only about 25% of the votes have been counted due to 10,000+ absentee ballots that won’t be counted until the first week of July. A further statement is coming. MyRye.com will carry any further statements from Otis and Cameron and continue to track the results.
There are multiple reports of long lines and people having to vote hours after the polls closed last night (if you are in line by 9pm, they must let you vote).
Out of all that mess has come some upsets, based on Westchester Board of Elections unofficial tally as of 7am Wednesday morning.

For the New York State Assembly 91st District Democratic primary, challenger, Rye resident and head of the local Democratic committee Meg Cameron has toppled incumbent and former Rye Mayor Steve Otis. The primary winner almost certainly wins the seat in the fall, as there is no one running on the Republican ticket.
