For Monday, Westchester reported the following City of Rye numbers:

224 total COVID-19 cases since inception;
4 active COVID-19 cases (this assumes the remaining 220 have run the average two week contagion cycle and are no longer active);
0 new COVID-19 case

Rye guy and Westchester County boss George Latimer held his weekly COVID-19 briefing from the Liberty Lines bus depot in Valhalla. Latimer announced the Westchester County Bee-Line bus system will resume standard operation, resuming front door boarding on all buses starting September 8th.

Additionally, all 325 buses are now outfitted with protective barriers that provide floor-to-ceiling plastic sheeting around bus operators. This new phase will effectively end the COVID response phase, where customers were not charged to ride, that began on March 23.
