Newbies: The District Welcomes Annemarie Piekarski, Principal, Milton School

The Rye City School District is welcoming sixteen newbies this year. Most of these faces are new to the district, and a few are old hands in new positions.

The District welcomes Annemarie Piekarski, Principal, Milton School.

Ms. Piekarski was already well-known to Milton School students and parents alike when she was appointed to be Milton School’s Principal in April; she had served as Milton School’s Assistant Principal beginning June of 2018. Prior to coming to Rye, Mrs. Piekarski was Assistant Principal of Westorchard Elementary School in Chappaqua, N.Y. Previously Mrs. Piekarski taught first, second, and fourth grades at Roaring Brook Elementary School in Chappaqua, and third grade at P.S. 18 in the Bronx. Ms. Piekarski holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Scranton; an M.A. in Literacy Education from

Teachers College, Columbia University; and a Master’s in Administration from Bank Street Graduate School of Education.
