The fundraiser launched Wednesday by the Rye Fund for Education has attracted $31,000 in community contributions in the first 48 hours. The $31,000 will be added to the initial $50,000 put forth by the fund for a total of $81,000 or 32% towards the $250,000 goal.

The funds are all being used to finance COVID-related costs that are currently unfunded.
