For Monday, Westchester reported the following City of Rye numbers:

238 total COVID-19 cases since inception;
5 active COVID-19 cases (this assumes the remaining 233 have run the average two week contagion cycle and are no longer active);
1 new COVID-19 case.

Rye guy and Westchester County boss George Latimer held his weekly COVID-19 briefing from the Michaelian Office Building in White Plains. Speaking about President Trump, Latimer said “We hope he recovers fully – he and his wife.” Latimer reported limited resumption of commercial flights at Westchester County airport (HPN) with flights running to Florida as of October 1st and flights to North Carolina starting October 7th. He also reminded folks he is delivering this third annual State of the County speech this Thursday at 7pm. It was originally planned for April, but delayed due to COVID-19.
