From the City of Rye:

Please be aware that, pursuant to the City Code, parking on any City street between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. during the winter months (November 1 thru March 31) is prohibited. The purpose of this Ordinance is to allow the City’s DPW trucks to safely and effectively remove snow and ice. As we are all aware, unexpected weather emergencies can occur without advanced warning, making this blanket essential. Failure to abide by the law results in a ticket and fine of $75.

For those with limited off street parking, the City does provide a special all-night snow ordinance parking permit for use in City parking lots. The cost of the permit is $40 per month and requires proof of license, registration and utility bill. The vehicle must be parked in the municipal lot closest to the resident’s home and only between the hours of 6:00p.m. – 7:00a.m. This does not include the MTA-owned commuter lot at the train station.
