Girls Varsity Tennis MVP: Elizabeth Peron

The Girls Varsity Tennis MVP for fall 2020 is senior Elizabeth Peron. “Liz is an ideal doubles partner and anchored the team playing undefeated from the second doubles position with three different partners,” said Varsity Tennis Coach Tony Campbell. “Her strong consistent groundstrokes and calm ability to figure out how to adapt her match strategy in the clutch to pull out key victories has made her a priceless contributor to the team in her four years as a Varsity doubles player.”
Playing in the Regional Doubles tournament with her most typical partner, freshmen Sofia Nunez, it took the Regional champions from Scarsdale to finally take her down in a hard fought match in the quarterfinals. “Liz always shows up on time, with a smile and grace in both victory and defeat,” said Campbell.
