Dear Rye Middle School Families, Faculty and Staff,

The District was informed last night of an individual at Rye Middle School who has tested positive for COVID-19. The individual is currently in quarantine and was last at the school on Friday, January 15. Due to federal health privacy laws, additional information about the individual cannot be released. Based on the new quarantine regulations of the Westchester County Department of Health, there is no need for any additional school-related contact tracing or quarantining associated with this case.

Please be assured that we will continue to do everything in our power to keep the Rye Middle School community safe.

Sincerely,

Eric Byrne, Ed.D.

Superintendent of Schools
