Subject: RCSD School and Offices Closed for Tuesday, February 2
To: Rye City School District Recipients
Dear RCSD Community,
Due to the ongoing winter storm, anticipated additional accumulating snow and ice, and the States of Emergency declared by Governor Cuomo and County Executive Latimer, all Rye schools and offices will be closed for in-person and online learning tomorrow, Tuesday, February 2. All athletics and after-school activities are canceled.
COVID-19 surveillance testing will proceed as scheduled tomorrow afternoon. The Board of Education meeting will also be held as scheduled tomorrow evening at 7:30 p.m.
Please stay safe and enjoy the day. Hopefully, you can dig out, join your children in building a snow fort and take a trek through the mountains of white stuff that is everywhere! In these challenging times, a day of fun in the snow can certainly bring some joy to all.
Enjoy the snow and be safe.
Dr. Eric Byrne
Superintendent of Schools
