Boys Varsity Hockey Grinds Down North Rockland 9-0

Rye Boys Varsity Hockey ground down North Rockland at an away game Monday 9-0. The team’s season moves to 6-5.

“This was complete team effort from top to bottom,” said Rye Boys Varsity Hockey Peter Thomas. “We played well in goal, on defense and on offense. We executed in all three zones and set the pace of the game and forced North Rockland to chase the game.”

Jackson Leahy got the scoring started in the first period followed by Tommy Richardson, Trace Sculti, and Liam Hurley in the second. The Garnets completed the scoring in the third with goals from Peter Angelastro, Drew DellaSalla, Carter Barford and one more each from Trace Sculti and Liam Hurley. Brian Curran, Brendan O’Byrne, Cal McLoughlin, Eric Lynch and Lucas Tsuchida all added assists. In goal, Anabelle Thomas recorded the shutout.
