Rye Boys Varsity Hockey MVP: Anabelle Thomas

The Boys Varsity Hockey MVP for the winter 2021 season is junior Anabelle Thomas.
“Anabelle has been our starting goalie since her freshman year,” said Rye Boys Varsity Hockey Coach Peter Thomas. “She has been the focal point of our defense and has grown into a leader on our team. Her drive to succeed playing hockey on a men’s varsity team is matched only by her drive to succeed in her academics and beyond. She has shown that she is can win at every level, winning a Section 1 championship with the hockey team last season and winning a Southern Westchester Regional Championship as the starting striker for the Girls Varsity Soccer team.”
Anabelle’s 2021 season stats/accomplishments include 7 wins, 329 saves, .912 save percentage, 3 shutouts, and named LoHud/Journal News Super Six as the top goalie in Section 1.
