Boys Varsity Football Puts Eastchester in the Hutch 28-7

Rye Boys Varsity Football April 10, 2021 vs. Eastchester - 1Rye Boys Varsity Football put Eastchester in the Hutch 28-7 on Saturday at an away game. Rye dominated with a 21-0 lead at the half.

“Lucas Perez-Segnini had two touchdown passes, one was quite long,” said Rye Boys Varsity Football Coach Dino Garr. “I thought we had another outstanding defensive effort. I was very pleased with our running game and the offensive line did a great job of picking up all of the different stunts.” Perez-Segnini’s long pass was 74 yards from Kovacs.

Harrison & The Game Next Saturday

The team moves to 4-0 as it heads into the big Harrison game next Saturday at Nugent Stadium. Asked by MyRye.com for thoughts on the Harrison match-up this year, Coach Garr said “They are a very good team, I think one of the better teams they have had in the last couple years. It’s going to be an epic struggle.”

The football team was supported again by the cheerleading team. “The Rye Cheerleaders cheered the boys to another win!,” said Rye Varsity Cheerleading Coach Melissa Marsden. “Now they shift their focus towards next weeks Rye-Harrison Pep Rally and game. Stay tuned for their half time performance.”
