Rye Girls Varsity Swimming MVP: Lente Geelen

MyRye.com is featuring varsity team MVPs from the “Fall II” 2021 sports season. The MVPs have been selected by each coach. A big MyRye.com congratulations to all the MVPs.

The Girls Varsity Swimming & Diving MVP for the “Fall II” 2021 season is junior Lente Geelen.

“Lente was undefeated in all of her events during our dual meets this season,” said Rye Girls Varsity Swimming Coach Kelly Johanson. “She also qualified for Sectionals in 7 out of 8 individual events (the only one she didn’t qualify for was the 100 breaststroke which she didn’t swim this season). She finished 4th in both the 50 free and 100 free at Sectionals. She was the anchor on both the 200 Free relay which finished 11th and the 400 free relay which finished 9th at Sectionals. Still waiting on All-League and All-Section to be released (she should be receiving both). As a Junior she has already committed to swim for Bucknell University.”
