Girls Varsity Lacrosse Wraps Up Mahopac
Rye Girls Varsity Lacrosse wrapped up Mahopac on Saturday in a 9-6 win at Nugent stadium.
“Senior goalie Sophie Brett had an outstanding game,” said Rye Girls Varsity Lacrosse Coach Michelle Mason. “She recorded 10 saves and truly played a complete game with picking up scrap outside the goal.”
“Today was our senior day and all 3 of our seniors showed up to compete,” said Mason. “We executed our game plan well and showed great growth from our first week of play when under pressure in week 2 of games. We had multiple people get on the board – Hedges, Buckley, Wydra, Whaling, Chimento, and White. Our defensive unit was cohesive and played hard.”
The team’s season advances to 4-1. The day also featured two post game promposals. Watch the replay.
