Flag Raisings & More – Pride Month Event Schedule
Today is the start of Pride month, and Rye will be holding its very first Pride flag raising, along with other events throughout the month. Here is your guide to Pride events in Rye:
- Today, Tuesday, June 1st at 3pm – Rye High School flag raising at 3pm at the RHS flag pole;
- Today, Tuesday, June 1st at 5pm – City of Rye flag raising, Pride walk & ceremony
- 5:00pm flag raising, ceremony & kids activities at City Hall and the village green
- Pride Walk from City Hall to Rye Recreation
- 6:00pm flag raising at Rye Recreation;
- Saturday, June 5th at 11:30am – Rye Town Park flag raising & ceremony
- at the Rye Town Park flagpole near the sundial garden;
- Thursday, June 10th at 4:30pm – Zoom activist academy, Pride edition
- Zoom hosted by pRYEde, Rye Free Reading Room & Rye youth
- registration will be available on https://www.ryelibrary.org/;
- Wednesday, June 16th at 5pm – Rye Town Park youth led community mural unveiling & Pride celebration
- at the fence along the pathway by the Long Island Sound
- ceremony and kids arts & crafts;
- All month long – Stonewall history walk at the Square House
- Interpretive walk at the Rye Historical Society’s Square House.
