Girls Varsity Track Wraps Season at Suffern

That’s a Wrap – Varsity Track Teams 2021

The Rye Girls Track Team wrapped up their spring 2021 season at the class A Championships at Suffern on Saturday.

Cate Doyle was 5th in the 100M while Logan Brady placed 3rd in the 100H (both setting personal best times). Katie Coyne was 2nd in the open 400 in a time of 59.85. Devon O’Donnell (10th grade) finished 5th in the triple with a jump of 31’11”.

The 3200 relay team of Bella Lulaj, Sophie Bourne, Jessica Bourne and Devon O’Donnell (all 9th?10th grade) finished 3rd. The 400 relay team of Cate Doyle, Maddy Childs, Katie Coyne and Sophia Shoemaker missed the school record by .6 seconds. Katie Coyne a senior wrapped up her running career with 14 league titles in 3 years. She also finishes with a combined 8 school records winter and spring. In winter season 2020 she was 3rd place in the NY State Championships .
