Rye Girls Varsity Softball Gives Some to Somers
Rye Girls Varsity Softball, seeded #8, gave some to Somers, seeded #9, on Friday, taking the first round playoff game 7-2.
“Great playoff win today,” said Rye Girls Varsity Softball Coach Alex Tejera. “The defense played incredible. Millie Brooks turned a huge double play to get us out of a 1st inning jam. Cate Margiloff threw out a runner trying to score in the 5th inning to end their rally and Athena Hadjipanayis made 2 great plays that also stopped their rallies.”
