Thur/Fri/Sat in Rye: LawnChair Theatre Delivers Shakespeare to the Music of Queen

No one has ever done this before — Shakespeare’s famous Midsummer Night’s Dream set to the music of Queen… by a Broadway/Rock maestro and LawnChair Theatre’s cast of 20+, including Rye High School alum’s River Glassberg and Noam Ben Yakir.

Keith Levenson, the show’s arranger and conductor, is The Who’s global tour symphonic conductor and the conductor of multiple Broadway shows.

LawnChair Theater A Midsummer Night's Queen 2021 - 4 MSNQ Oberon FairiesA Midsummer Night’s Queen opens this Thursday, July 22nd (6:30pm – 8:30pm) on the Village Green at the Rye Library, and then for the next two nights (Friday & Saturday) at seaside Rye Town Park (6:30pm – 8:30pm) before moving on to New Rochelle, Chappaqua and the Bedford Playhouse, wrapping up on July 31st.  The show includes original takes on Queen classics like “Fat Bottomed Girls,” “Bohemian Rhapody,” “We are the Champions” and more.
