Garnet Football Leaves Sleepy Hollow Headless
Rye Boys Varsity Football left Sleepy Hollow Headless Friday night under the lights at Nugent Stadium. The 35-14 win puts the team at a 4-0 season as it heads to “The Game” next Saturday afternoon at 3:30pm at Harrison’s McGillicuddy Stadium.
“Teddy had a great game on defense. Sammy had an interception,” said Rye Boys Varsity Football Dino Garr. “On the offensive side Caden had another outstanding game of four touchdowns and over 200 yards rushing.”
Asked about “The Game” next week, Garr said “It should be a hell of a game. We are going to come prepared.” Both teams enter the match undefeated.”

Rye Cheerleading was out in force. “The Rye Cheerleaders performed in their first real home game of the season last night,” said Rye Girls Varsity Cheerleading Coach Melissa Marsden. “It was amazing to see the stands filled with screaming fans all dressed in Garnet gear. The environment was something that we have all been missing since Fall 2019. The cheerleaders are looking forward to performing next Friday at the Pep Rally 7:00 at Nugent Stadium.”
