On Saturday, national, state, county and local pols turned out to support Rye City Council candidate Lisa Tannenbaum at a combination birthday party/campaign event in her Rye neighborhood.

Tannenbaum is running to fill one of three council seats for a four year term. Others running for the same three seats are Bill Henderson, Julie Souza and Ben Stacks.

Tannenbaum served as the Director of Community Outreach for former Congressman Eliot Engel. Party guests included Congressman Engel and his wife Pat, State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, Westchester County Executive George Latimer, White Plains Common Council President Nadine Hunt-Robinson and Harrison Town Board member Frank Gordon. Tannenbaum says she is running for Rye City Council “to bring a new spirit of collaboration to Rye, with our neighboring communities and with the county, state and federal governments.”
