Boys Varsity Soccer Puts Sleepy Hollow to Bed

Rye Boys Varsity Soccer puts Sleepy Hollow to bed on Thursday at home, tucking in the opponent for a 4-1 win.

“Michael Desmond opened the scoring in the 5th minute with a tidy finish off of a beautifully slotted set piece from Jack Childs,” said Rye Boys Varsity Soccer Coach Jared Small. “Henry Field netted his second goal in as many games after receiving a lofted ball from center back Ryan Kovacs and using a deft first touch to set himself for a shot. Jonas van Beurden recorded a highlight worthy goal after some intricate combination play with Childs and Field. John Sterkaj extended the lead to 4-0 when he received a Tim Desmond pass and curled a shot just under the bar from 30 yards out.”
