Rye Girls Varsity Soccer delivers more than Somers had to offer on Thursday, taking the win at home 2-0.

“They were fast physical team and Rye was up for the challenge,” said Rye Girls Varsity Soccer Rich Savage. “Both Despina and Sage were outstanding for the outside backs for Rye. Bowyn Brown was outstanding in winning tackles and creating scoring opportunities for Rye. Maddy Walsh had the perfect pass to Annabelle Thomas to give Rye the one nothing lead with 18 minutes left in the second half. Bell Jackson was once again solid in the back of Annette making six saves for the shout out.”

The team record shifts to 11-1-2.
