Girls Varsity Swimming Finds Choppy Waters with Clarkstown

Rye Girls Varsity Swimming found choppy waters with Clarkstown, falling 78-103 at the home meet.

“Our freshman had a really strong meet last night,” said Rye Girls Varsity Swimming Coach Kelly Johanson. “Sophia Lord was 2nd in the 200 IM and the 100 breast.”

Kayla Lombardo was also 2nd in the 200 free and 500 free. Eighth grader Mia Howson was 3rd in diving getting a season best score of 166.15. Junior Zoe Lien also got 2nd in both the 50 free and 100 free.

The team’s record is now 3-4. They swim again next Thursday 4:30pm at White Plains.
