In Memory: Therese Ruta, Age 63
After a life with so many wonderful memories, on Wednesday October 6, 2021, Therese M. “Terry” Ruta Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.
Born on July 28, 1958, in Rye New York the daughter Of the late Eleanor and Gabriel Ruta. Terry was a graduate of Rye High School, class of 1977 and Berkeley Secretarial College. Terry enjoyed travel, the beaches in Narragansett, RI, music and was an avid fan of PBS.
She was employed by Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC for 14 years. Terry was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Hartford. Terry is survived by her daughter Shannon M. Landerfin of West Hartford, an identical twin sister Sally Ruta of Prospect and Alexandria Ruta Sandlock of Stamford. She also leaves her nephews, nieces, special cousins and their families, and many dear friends.
A memorial service will take place on a later date. Terry’s family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the entire staff at the Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center for their professionalism, kindness and care given to Terry.
