The Girls Varsity Soccer MVP for the Fall 2021 season is senior Reilly Traynor.

“Reilly Traynor is a 4 year starting member of the Rye High School Varsity Girls’s Soccer team,” said Rye Girls Varsity Soccer Coach Richard Savage. “As a center back, Reilly provided stability, confidence and leadership to the entire soccer team. Reilly would consistently break up plays defensively and distribute perfect passes to enable Rye to start their offensive attack. Traynor was also an effective weapon on corner kicks, often double or triple teamed, she would slays find a way to create a scoring opportunity for Rye.”

“During her time on the Varsity team, Reilly has been a two time All State player, two time league player of the year, 3 time All Section player and 4 time All League player,” continued Savage. “She has led the Garnets to 4 league titles, two undefeated league titles, southern large school championship, two section final appearances and one sectional title. Most important quality for Reilly was her leadership skills. Both on and off the field, Reilly was who the entire team looked up to lead the team. Reilly will be playing for Bucknell University next year. Congratulations to Reilly on a tremendous high school career!”
