Girls Varsity Swimming Finishes 19th Overall; Lord with Lifetime Bests
Rye Girls Varsity Swimming & Diving finished 19th overall in the sectionals Thursday night.
“Freshman Sophia Lord had a great meet last night,” said Rye Girls Varsity Swimming & Diving Coach Kelly Johanson. “She started off the night placing 6th in the 200 IM and qualifying for States. She also swam the 100 breast and finished 4th. She had lifetime best times in both events.”
The 200 free relay finished 15th at finals – Sydney Goldberg, Megan Tiedemann, Sophia Hofmann, Zoe Lien. Senior Sophia Lord finished her high school swim career with a lifetime best 50 free time in the relay.
The 400 free relay finished 9th overall – Zoe Lien, Charlize Tavitian, Kayla Lombardo, Sophia Lord.
