Boys Varsity Swimming Sends Peekskill-Croton-Henry Hudson Upriver
Rye Boys Varsity Swimming & Diving sent Peekskill-Croton-Henry Hudson upriver Wednesday, winning the meet 88-86.
“Going in to the final relay both teams were tied 80-80, whoever won the last relay would win the meet,” said Rye Boys Varsity Swimming Coach Kelly Johanson. “The Rye-Rye Neck team of Laverty, Ladyzhensky, Glitterstam and Zhou just touched out the other team for the win.”
Highlights from the meet:
- Ethan Zhou won the 200 IM and 100 Back
- Finlay Sutherland won diving
- Bryan Laverty won the 100 fly and was 3rd in the 200 IM
- Tripp Redd won the 50 free and was 3rd in the 100 breast
- Michael Ladyzhensky was 2nd in both the 200 free and 500 free
- Will Soviero was 3rd in the 200 free and 500 free
The season moves to 2-6. The team heads to divisionals on Saturday at North Rockland High School.
