School District Distributes COVID Test Kits to Seniors

The Rye City School District’s Superintendent Eric Byrne and Director of Health Services Tracey Barnett visited seniors at Rye Recreation’s Damiano Recreation Center Wednesday to distribute 180 iHealth COVID-19 test kits.

The District received kits from the State of New York and has been distributing them to school district families but wanted to share them with Rye seniors to protect the health of the community as a whole.

Tracey Barnett demonstrated how to use the kits, while Dr. Byrne showed seniors how to read the test results. About 50 local seniors turned out for this important show and tell.
