Boys Varsity Tennis Glazes Pelham
Rye Boys Varsity Tennis glazed Pelham on Tuesday, taking the win at home 5-2.
“Rye played Pelham HS and the matches were close and hard fought though the misty weather,” said Rye Boys Varsity Tennis Coach Sue Dickson. “All the singles players won their matches and second doubles also came away with a match clinching game winning their match 6-2, 6-2. Solid singles from 1-4 players respectively, Nicolas Echlov, Henry Groves, Mathew Templeman, and Alex Gordon all won their matches.”
All singles players won. Nicolas Echlov won a superbreaker after splitting sets 6-4, 3-6 (10-6).
The team evens the season at 2-2. The Garnets play Mamaroneck Thursday at 4:30pm.
