Boys Varsity Tennis Netted by Mamaroneck in Season Opener

Rye Boys Varsity Tennis was netted by Mamaroneck in its season opener Tuesday, falling 0-7.

“Rye opened against the perennial powerhouse Mamaroneck with only one upperclassman in the line up today,” said Rye Boys Varsity Tennis Coach Sue Dickson. “Highlights were the second set tiebreaker with Henry Bagley and Oliver Lincoln at 3rd doubles and the super tiebreaker with Alex Gordan at 4th singles.”

Rye shows promise and after losing 11 players, and it has a stable full of new players to compliment the returning six team members. With a varsity two team, the depth for the future looks good.
