Girls Varsity Softball Put in Hutch by Eastchester
Rye Girls Varsity Softball was put in the hutch by Eastchester on Friday. Eastchester took the win, polishing the Garnets 14-6.
“We had a couple of tough innings in the field and that cost us,” said Rye Girls Varsity Softball Coach Alex Tejera. “We tried to battle back, but in the end it just wasn’t enough.”
Game highlights included:
- Millie Brooks was 1 for 2 with 2 BB SB Rbi and a RS
- Ashley Kessner was 2 for 3 2RS 2SB BB
- Ava Hoogstra was 2 for 4 with an Rbi SB and a RS
- Great Lleshaj was 1 for 1 with an Rbi
- Malena Santia was 1 for 4 with 2 Rbi
The season moves to 6-8.
