Boys Varsity Baseball Breezes Through Quarterfinals Against Tappan Zee
Rye Boys Varsity Baseball came out with their second playoff win on Wednesday, battling Tappan Zee at home. The Garnets topped the Dutchmen 10-1.
“Derek Woods pitched a complete game giving up just one run, while striking out 12,” said Coach Michael Bruno. “The Garnets jumped out to an early five run lead and managed to keep tacking on for a 10-1 win. Quality playoff win against a very good team and great baseball program in Tappan Zee. This win puts us one step further to our goal.”
