Girls Varsity Swimming Drained by Horace Greeley in Season Opener
Rye Girls Varsity Swimming & Diving was drained by Horace Greeley on Thursday, dropping the away meet 81-98 in its season opener.
“Zoe Lien senior captain from Rye High School was a double event winner at the swim meet against Horace Greeley,” said Rye Girls Varsity Swimming & Diving Coach Katie Konopka. “She won the 50 meter freestyle, the 100 meter freestyle, and was a member of the winning 400 Free Relay.”
Other individual event winners include:
- 200 Free- Kayla Lombardo,
- 200 Freestyle Relay- Grayson Findlay, Yara Vorobiev, Sophie Boyle, Kayla Lombardo,
- 100 Breaststroke- Sophia Lord, and
- 400 Freestyle Relay- Zoe Lien, Sydney Goldberg, Kayla Lombardo, and Sophia Lord.
The team swims at John Jay Cross River Saturday at 12:30pm.
