Girls Varsity Volleyball Nets Byram Hills in Season Opener

Rye Girls Varsity Volleyball netted Byram Hills in its season opener Wednesday.

“Rye won our season opener against Byram Hills 3-2,” said Rye Girls Varsity Volleyball Coach Geri Jones.

Scores by set: 15-35, 25-19, 22-25, 25-16, 15-12. Ella Erickson had 25 assists. Leyla Murati led the offense with 11 kills. Isabel Hurley had a day at the net with 8 kills, 4 blocks, and 3 ace serves.

“The team persevered and played their game to pull out the win,” finished Jones.
