The city council’s agenda for its meeting at 6:30pm on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 is out. The meeting will be held in-person at Rye City Hall.

The meeting will also be aired on Cablevision Channel 75 and Verizon Channel 39. We’ll also see you on the Internet (live and archive).

Residents may email comments regarding the public hearing to: [email protected]. All comments must be received by 4:00 pm on the day of the meeting. The subject of the email should reference the hearing topic. Please include your name and address

The council will convene at 5:30pm for executive session to discuss pending litigation, personnel matters and pending contracts.

Formal office hours of the Mayor and other officials have been suspended.

  • Ida Don’t Want Another One. Flooding Update.
  • Change is in the Wind. Continue the public hearing to adopt a new local law, Chapter 122, “Landscapers and Leaf Blower Regulations”.
  • Show Me The Money! Presentation of the proposed FY 2023 Budget by the City Manager.
  • Tell Me @ The Money. Consideration to set a public hearing on the 2023 Budget for December 7, 2022
  • Don’t Tell Me What To Do with The Money. Set a public hearing to adopt a Local Law to override the State enacted tax levy limitation for December 21, 2022, if necessary.
  • Salty, No Pepper. Consideration of a resolution adopting a SEQR Negative Declaration and LWRP Coastal Consistency Determination in connection with the proposed construction of a new salt shed and recycling facility at the City’s Public Works Facility at Disbrow Park.
  • Plowing Ahead. Consideration of a resolution adopting a SEQR Negative Declaration and LWRP Coastal Consistency Determination in connection with the proposed construction of a new DPW garage and administrative building at the City’s Public Works Facility at Disbrow Park.
  • Capital Thinking. Update on other Capital Projects.
  • Buy It Now. Review and adoption of an updated Procurement Policy for the City of Rye.
  • Open Mic. Residents may be heard on matters for Council consideration that do not appear on the agenda.
  • Better Get Drano. Open a public hearing to consider a local law to add a new Chapter 89 “Fats, Oils and Grease Abatement” to the Code of the City of Rye, New York Regarding the Regulation, Inspection and Enforcement of Fat, Oil and Grease Handling and Disposal for Food Establishments.
  • Can You Hear Me Now? Refer to the BAR and set a public hearing for November 30, 2022 to consider an application from Airosmith Development engaged with AT&T to modify an existing facility located at 66 Milton Rd that does not substantially change the physical dimensions of the current facility.
  • How About Now? Consideration of an application from T-Mobile Northeast, LLC to modify an existing facility located at 66 Milton Rd that does not substantially change the physical dimensions of the current facility.
  • A-Fair(s). CONSENT AGENDA
    • Consideration of a request by the Midland Elementary School PTO to approve a parade to precede the Midland Elementary School Fair on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    • Consideration of a request by the Midland Elementary School PTO to allow two to three food trucks as part of the Midland Fair on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The City Council will have to waive § 144-8D and G of the City Code.

The next regular meeting of the City Council will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 6:30pm. The Budget Work Sessions will take place on November 14 & 16, 2022 at 6:30pm.
