Boys Varsity Hockey Clawed by Beekmantown Eagles
Rye Boys Varsity Hockey was clawed by the Beekmantown Eagles on Saturday. The Eagles dug in their talons for a 6-1 win over the Garnets. It is the first loss for the Garnets this season.
“After a back and forth scoreless first period, where we missed a few really good chances to go up on the scoreboard, Beekmantown capitalized on a couple of quick ones in the second period,” said Rye Boys Varsity Hockey Coach Peter Thomas.
Brandon Morgan made 43 saves in the loss and Seth Dorfman scored off a nice pass from Ivan Vasyuta to get Rye on the board.
The Varsity record is now 5-1. The Garnets are competing versus NCCS on Sunday.
