Boys Varsity Swimming Pained by Suffern
Rye Boys Varsity Swimming was pained by Suffern on Thursday. Suffern pressed down on the Garnets for a 85-76 win.
“Rye Middle School 8th grade diver Finn Hansen qualified for the sectional diving championship meet by scoring 155.55 points in the diving competition tonight,” said Rye Boys Varsity Swimming Coach Katie Konopka.
Meet highlights included:
- Bryan Laverty won the 200 IM and the 100 back.
- Tripp Redd won the 50 free and placed 2nd in the 100 free.
- Wilson Redd and Filip Glitterstam placed first and second in the 100 fly.
- Filip Glitterstam and Jon Capaldi placed first and second in the 100 breaststroke.
The team is now 0-6. The Garnets are at Arlington 4:30pm next Wednesday.
