Limited Parking Permits @ Train Station Available for Residents
There are a limited quantity of commuter parking permits available for immediate purchase at the Highland / Cedar Resident Only Parking lots near the Rye Metro-North train station, according to City officials. The permits are expected to sell out.
The annual cost of the permit is $1,005 with a $3 processing fee. The permits are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. You must have your driver’s license, proof of residence (utility bill) and registration scanned and handy to upload to complete the process. Only those residing in and paying taxes to the City of Rye will be eligible to purchase a permit (Those in Rye PO but who are residents of neighboring municipalities will not be able to purchase a permit at the Highland/ Cedar lots).
To purchase a permit, visit the City website, log in/create an account, click “add new permit”, then click “Resident Only Commuter Parking Permit”.
The permits are non-transferable from one individual to another. Transferring a permit will result in the permanent revocation of both individuals from the lots.
Once a permit is purchased/ obtained, the permit holder will have the option to renew the permit each year. The digital permit will become active immediately.
