In honor of Black History Month, the Rye Human Rights Commission, the Rye Historical Society and the Rye Free Reading Room are hosting a program on the story of the Redd family’s landmark Civil Rights case in Rye.

The landmark discrimination case M. Paul Redd was the publisher and president of the Westchester County Press, the county’s sole African American owned newspaper for over 20 years, and dedicated his life to public service in our community.

Paul Redd Jr. will share his family’s story. Also part of the conversation will be Tejash Sanchala, executive director of the Westchester County Human Rights Commission, and Mayo Bartlett, Esq.
