A 38-year old woman was arrested on Purdy Avenue in downtown Rye on Saturday for driving while intoxicated.
Rye PD responded to a report of a vehicle stopped in the roadway. Officers arrived on scene and observed a vehicle stopped in the westbound lane of Purdy Avenue with its horn blaring. The operator identified as Danielle Nigro, age 38, of Elmsford. She was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd, and for driving with a suspended registration.
Nigro was transported to Rye Police Headquarters for processing, then issued an appearance ticket returnable to Rye City Court on April 4, 2023 at 9:00am. Rye PD reminds you that booking charges are merely accusations and the defendant(s) are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
