Girls Varsity Softball Stalked by the Panthers
Rye Girls Varsity Softball was stalked by the Rye Neck Panthers on Tuesday, falling short 3-5 at the away game.
“We faced a very good Rye Neck team and played well, but just came up a bit short,” said Rye Girls Varsity Softball Coach Alex Tejera. “The score was tied 3 to 3 in the bottom of the 6th inning, before Rye Neck scored a couple of runs to take the lead for good. Penelope Gilmore pitched a solid game in the circle and Ashley Kessner and Dylan Deertz each had Rbi doubles in the game. Ava Rollano drove in the other Rye run.”
